"It is impossible to introduce into society a greater change and a greater evil than this: the conversion of the law into an instrument of plunder."
Source: The Law

Explanation

Law is meant to be a shield, not a sword. When it protects life, liberty, and property, it channels our efforts into creativity and service. But twist the law into a tool for taking from some to give to others, and you flip morality on its head: plunder becomes “policy,” and the victims are told to call it justice.

Once theft is legalized, character erodes. People stop asking, “How can I create value?” and start asking, “How can I get a carve‑out?” The honest producer becomes the prey of political favoritism, and trust in institutions withers. The surest path back is simple but profound: restore the law to its proper role—defense of equal rights—so peace, cooperation, and prosperity can do their quiet, powerful work.
